Questions & answers
Ages, weight limits, weather, payments and what to bring. Can’t find your answer? Message us on WhatsApp.
Do I need any experience?
No. Every guest gets a full briefing and orientation before heading out, and our guides stay with jet ski groups the whole way.
How old do I need to be?
Jet ski drivers must be 16 or older and show a government-issued photo ID or passport. Passengers can be any age over 4. To rent or drive a motorboat you must be 18 or older. The Ski & Slide waterslide is for riders 48 inches and taller.
Can we rent jet skis without a guide?
All jet ski rentals are guided tours. It keeps everyone safe — and our guides show you spots that aren’t on any map.
What are the weight limits?
Up to 400 lbs combined per jet ski and 350 lbs combined per crystal kayak.
Should we book in advance?
Yes — from June to September we recommend booking at least a week ahead. Same-day bookings are possible when we have space. From October to May, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice.
What time should we arrive?
Please arrive 30 minutes before your start time for your briefing on the map, the craft and safety. Late arrivals may miss their slot and can’t be refunded.
How do we pay?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and cash (with a card on file for incidentals). Boats, pontoons, kayaks and paddleboards are paid in full when you book. For large jet ski groups, one ski can be reserved with a deposit and the rest of the party can pay on arrival.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel at least 48 hours before your start time for a full refund. Please cancel by email to info@bdawatersports.com — voicemails may not be picked up in time.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety comes first and we check conditions daily. If a small craft warning is issued you can reschedule or receive a full refund, or choose to go out in protected areas if they’re open. Bermuda showers often pass quickly, so we recommend waiting until the day to decide.
What should we wear and bring?
Swimsuit and a towel. Sunscreen, sunglasses with a strap and a waterproof phone case are all a good idea. Water shoes are recommended for cliff jumping and the waterslide.
Is there somewhere to leave our things?
Yes, we have limited dry storage at the marina — but it’s best to leave valuables at home.
Do you offer custom tours?
Absolutely. Email info@bdawatersports.com with your ideas and we’ll build a day around them.
